PRTS launches ‘ Sandesh’ to create awareness on cyber crime


Indore: The Police Radio Training School ( PRTS), Indore has launched campaign ‘ Sandesh’ to create awareness on protection against cyber crime among school students. The first programme of the campaign was organised at Emerald Heights School, Indore. The PRTS director IG Varun Kapoor explained the students how they could be a part of the cyber crime unknowingly, either as a victim of a perpetrator, and how they can protect themselves.

He also informed about the working of police in cyber crimes by stating some examples.Organisation’s DSP Sudeep Goenka told the students how to maintain confidentiality of passwords, protect against cyber bullying and stalking, etc. The students were made aware about various Sections under the IT Act by ADPO Karnika Dixit from Police Training Academy.The campaign is a joint effort by PRTS and Indian Oil Corporation.IG Varun Kapoor talking to students during the session.
