You may have noticed a story in the paper yesterday about a spate of boat thefts in Brisbane. There’s been a couple of instances of people wanting to sell their boats online, and advertising on the popular website Gumtree. The prospective buyer makes a time to meet, gets the address then cancels – and then the boat disappears. These days, selling your unwanted stuff online is becoming increasingly popular… so what kind of steps can we take to ensure we don’t get taken for a ride?
